Reverse Osmosis is a process of forcing ordinary tap water through a semi-permeable membrane, leaving dissolved solids and other impurities behind. These impurities are rinsed away, resulting in clear, clean tasting water. This is the same process used by many bottled water companies. Because Water goes through many changes before it reaches our tap, water municipalities add chemicals to it that are known to be hazardous to our health. Remember, the premise most water municipalities work on when they have bad water is "The more chemicals the better." Sorry, but not so. The level on chemicals used is set not to be hazardous to our health. That's why I believe we have to treat our water at point of usage.
